As in 2021 the international academic community celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Marija Gimbutienė, the 11th International ‘Jonas Puzinas Readings’ conference THE NEW OLD EUROPE will be held in Vilnius on 23 and 24 September.
This international conference not only aims to highlight the contribution of Prof. Gimbutienė’s research in the history of civilisations and to demonstrate the significance of her work for the development of science, but also to introduce the latest research on the history of European culture from different research perspectives.
The conference will take place at the Archaeological Exposition Hall, 2nd floor, Old Arsenal of the National Museum of Lithuania.
