A State Award to the Academician Grasilda Blažienė

On the occasion of the Statehood Day (Coronation of King Mindaugas of Lithuania) and the National Anthem Day, Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, awarded state decorations to Lithuanian and foreign citizens for their services to the Republic of Lithuania and for promoting its name in the world. Seventy-five persons were awarded medals and medals on 6 July 2024.

The President presented the Cross of the Knight of the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas to Prof. Grasilda Blažienė, an outstanding Lithuanian linguist, for her significant publications, originality, innovation, the scholarly and practical value of her research, as well as for her active cultural, academic, and professional work.
